In the middle overs, KKR’s top-order hitters produced runs at a respectable clip. Andre Russell and Angkrish Raghuvanshi joined the crease after Rahane was removed for 30 off 24.
In the IPL 2025, the cricketer from the West Indies has not been playing well. However, the all-rounder hit 57* runs off just 25 balls, including six tall sixes, in the match against the men in pink.
In Match 53 of the IPL 2025, the reigning champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will play the first-ever champion Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Ajinkya Rahane, the captain of KKR, chose to bat first after winning the toss. For the home team, the decision paid off really nicely.
Maheesh Theekshana bowled the 18th over, and the final three balls of that over went for consecutive sixes. The right-handed hitter hit a 91-meter six after smashing the fourth ball of the over for half a dozen over long-on.

The 37-year-old hit an even greater six of 94 yards on the following ball of the over, smashing the delivery over the spinner’s head. The Jamaican remained in the crease and finished the over by smoking the final ball of the over, which was pitched up, over wide long-off. The RR bowlers had a difficult time containing the KKR finisher’s chaos after the 18th over went for 23 runs.
KKR scored an impressive 206 runs at the end of the innings while losing four wickets. RR, who have already been eliminated from the IPL this year, will try to hurt the host team’s hopes of qualifying for the playoffs.
