During the RCB vs. CSK toss in the 52nd IPL 2025 match, MS Dhoni responded cheekily to one of Ravi Shastri’s questions. Shastri questioned Dhoni about any plans to prevent the RCB batsmen from playing an aggressive style of cricket at the top after the CSK called it at the toss and decided to bowl first.
Grinning, MS Dhoni said, “Let it be plans, Ravi bhai.”
In response to Shastri’s laughter, the CSK captain went on to discuss their plans following their elimination from the competition. Making the most of their four games this season was the main goal, according to MS Dhoni. In light of the next edition, he wanted to test out a few possibilities.
The CSK captain prioritised making the most of the previous four games, even if he felt the necessity to win games. “We aim to get the most out of our remaining four games. Try to consider who will be best suited for what position next year,” the CSK chief continued.
For RCB, Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell excel.
“Yes, we want to win games, but getting the most out of the four games is important,” Dhoni stated. In the end, CSK was unable to respond to the RCB openers’ barrage. Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell both performed admirably, handling pacers and spinners with equal ease.
Bethell was creative and made good use of his long handle while Virat was at his most elegant. Together, they scored 97 runs for the first wicket. Their attack early in the game left the bowlers without a response.
At a strike rate of 166.66, Bethall scored 55 runs off of 33 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes. The Southpaw hit a fifty in his second IPL game. However, Kohli may have played his finest knock of the year. Virat scored 62 (33), with five sixes and fours apiece.
