Shubman Gill had a meaningful talk with Kevin Pietersen during one of the practice sessions. As they conversed, Pietersen made a light-hearted inquiry regarding the characteristics of a mentor before stating, “No one knows what a mentor is.”
After six IPL 2025 games, the Delhi Capitals (DC) are having a great time and are now atop the IPL 2025 Points Table. The fact that they have only dropped one game thus far is a testament to the players’ abilities. The team from Delhi has arrived in Ahmedabad for their matchup with the Gujarat Titans (GT).
KL Rahul interrupted their talk and made a sarcastic remark about Kevin Pietersen that left everyone stunned.
The first thing Rahul said was, “Mentor is someone who goes to the Maldives for two weeks mid-season.” As Pietersen stood there staring at Rahul with a naughty smirk on his face, the players around them started giggling. The athletes’ conversation demonstrated their friendship with one another.
Notably, following DC’s victory over CSK on April 5, the Capitals’ coach travelled to the Maldives in the middle of the season. He returned before the match against Motera, but was unavailable for the following game against RCB on April 10.

With five victories in their first six games, DC is very close to making the playoffs. The team is performing admirably under skipper Axar Patel. Furthermore, by making some sort of contribution to practically every game, Axar is leading from the front. Their most recent matchup with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) was an exciting one that went into the Super Over and was ultimately won by the home team.
KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs chased down the Royals’ meagre 11 runs in the Super Over in just four balls. Having temporarily given up the position, they moved up the points table after the victory. Axar Patel will be hoping to continue their winning streak before their game against Titans.
