The left-handed hitter dragged the heave off the inner half to mid-wicket as he crowded to the pitch. The leg-spinner Karn Sharma tried to stop the ball, but it missed him as it sailed on the half-volley to mid-wicket. Karn injured his finger while doing this, and when the wound started to bleed, he had to leave the pitch.
At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are playing their 33rd game of the 2025 IPL. After winning the toss, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya decided to bowl first.
During the powerplay, the bowling was initiated by MI’s fast trio.
Only 15 runs were scored by SRH in the first two overs. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, the openers for SRH, were at the crease as Deepak Chahar took the ball for the third over. Chahar bowled to Abhishek on the fifth delivery of the third over.

The injury would be a major concern for the five-time winners because Karn Sharma was the player of the match in Mumbai Indians most recent match against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
Mumbai Indians defeated DC by 12 runs, including three run-outs in three balls, to win the match in an exciting fashion. In the meantime, SRH easily chased a large total in their most recent match and dominated Punjab Kings (PBKS). The chase’s star, Abhishek Sharma, amassed 141 runs off 55 balls with helpful assistance from Travis Head.
With both teams returning to their winning ways, they will want to maintain their momentum and continue playing.
