Not holding back, KL Rahul, a Karnataka native who currently plays for an IPL team that owns the Bengaluru franchise in the ISL, wished the squad well in the summit match. Additionally, a unique BFC shirt bearing his name was given to the 32-year-old.
Ahead of their matchup against Sanjiv Goenka’s Mohun Bagan Super Giants in the ISL 2025 final on Saturday, April 12, Bengaluru FC, owned by JSW Sports, received a heartfelt message from star India batter and Delhi Capitals player KL Rahul, as Indian football fans anticipate an exciting conclusion to the 2024–25 Indian Super League season.
Greetings to all, this is KL Rahul.
I’m sending BFC my best wishes for this Saturday’s ISL final. I can’t wait to watch it and will be cheering for each and every one of you. I wish Sunil and the crew the best of luck. Play like champions, have fun, and do what you’ve been doing all season long. Bring it home for us, Bengaluru, and enjoy the final. In a video that Bengalurufc uploaded to X, he remarked, “Come on, BFC.”

Remarkably, KL Rahul has previously attended Mohun Bagan SG games while playing for Goenka’s IPL team, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Most recently, Goenka and other LSG employees were seen supporting Mohun Bagan following their victory over Jamshedpur FC in the semi-finals in Kolkata, including Rishabh Pant, Rahul’s replacement as LSG captain.
Following his batting prowess against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday, April 8, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Rahul delivered his statement. The right-hander sealed the victory for his team with a game-winning 93* off 53 balls. After he struck the winning six, he also performed a celebration based on the Kantara movie.
