After losing the football challenge, LSG head coach Justin Langer handed star batter Nicholas Pooran a torturous forfeit. Despite being in scorching form during the competition, the powerful batter had to eventually take the heat during the practice session.
The 29-year-old Trinidadian, who holds the orange cap after scoring 288 runs at an average of 72 and a strike rate of 225 in the five games he has played, is without a question the best batter in the competition thus far. Pooran may have scored two of his three half-centuries in victories, but it appears that he had to lose when captaining his team in an intra-squad football game during practice. Pooran was observed struggling to manage the spice as LSG coach Justin Langer said that the losing team would have to take chillies.
“Some chillies must be on the losing team. You have to eat what we offer you, which is similar to being imprisoned. Langer concluded the practice session in the dressing room by saying, “You just can’t put it in there and then throw it in the bubble later.”
