Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the IPL 2025 match against RCB was commended by Sunil Gavaskar. Despite returning to cricket after a lengthy injury layoff, Gavaskar expressed his satisfaction at seeing the pacer routinely run at over 140 kmph without showing any signs of rust. Additionally, Gavaskar forecasted that Bumrah would soon reach 150 kmph.
We seen precisely that with Jasprit Bumrah.
“Seeing him arrive steaming and bowling at his typical speed of more than 140 km/h was the most important thing. After a few more games, I think he’ll probably reach 150 km/h as his back becomes more stable and he feels comfortable enough to bowl at full speed. Bowlers find it far simpler to maintain their sharpness and bowl at full speed in Twenty20 cricket, as they are not required to bowl for extended periods of time. On JioStar, the former Indian batter stated.
He added that it’s comparatively simpler for Test pacers to perform at their peak in quick bursts. Without Jasprit Bumrah, the former Indian batsman believed that RCB may have scored well over 230. Mark Boucher discussed MI’s performance versus RCB in addition to Gavaskar.
“His shots were outstanding,” says Mark Boucher of Hardik Pandya.
Speaking about the partnership between Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya, the JioStar expert and former MI Head Coach Boucher said that the former batted incredibly well following his struggles in the previous game against LSG, where he was retired out after reaching 25 off 23 with just two fours.
“They started off a little slowly.” Seeing Suryakumar bat with that kind of strike rate and attempt to increase it was incredible. Hardik had to leave from the first ball after he and Tilak got together. He received excellent assistance from Tilak Varma, particularly in light of the events of the previous game. MI returned to the game thanks to an incredible collaboration. Josh Hazlewood had bowled two excellent overs by then,” he remarked.
Given the way Jash Hazlewood and company bowled up until that moment, the former wicketkeeper-batter believed that their combination helped the hosts get back into the game.
“It was an incredible effort for Hardik to enter and slam him across the park. When the game was on the line, Hardik was brand-new because he hadn’t faced a ball yet. With Tilak’s assistance, MI was able to rally thanks to his outstanding strokes in that over,” Boucher continued.
