Litton will not play in the 2025 PSL Tests against Zimbabwe.

Litton Das, the wicketkeeper-batter for Bangladesh, has been given a NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the duration of the forthcoming PSL season, meaning he would be unable to play in the two-match Test series against Zimbabwe.

After playing the first Test match against Zimbabwe, another pacer, Nahid Rana, vowed that he will participate in the PSL, while Litton recently told Cricbuzz that he had secured a full season NOC. It is acknowledged that workload management led to Rana receiving a partial NOC. Since he is not a part of the test setup, leg spinner Rishad Hossain is also given full NOC.

At the January 13 players’ draft, Karachi Kings selected wicketkeeper-batter Liton, while Lahore Qalandars selected leg-spinner Rishad and Peshawar Zalmi selected pacer Rana.

One of the main candidates to keep his position as captain, Najmul Hossain, who led Bangladesh in the recently finished ICC Champions Trophy, had before argued that players should be granted NOCs to play in other leagues.

Some of Bangladesh’s players selected by various franchises in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) are also anticipated to play in the two-match Test series against Zimbabwe at home, reigniting the debate among cricket fans about national commitments against franchise cricket.

The PSL and the Test series are scheduled to clash; the PSL will take place from April 8 to May 19, while Bangladesh is anticipated to begin preparing for the Test series in the second week of April. The dates of the two-match Test series are set for April 20–May 2.
