Quinton de Kock’s brilliant knock enabled the Kolkata Knight Riders defeat the Rajasthan Royals and earn their first IPL 2025 victory. With his 97*(61), the Southpaw provided a strong foundation for the run pursuit. Quinton de Kock rushed towards the end of the game and played his shots in an attempt to terminate it as soon as possible.
When RR batted first, they only scored 151 runs in 20 overs, which was insufficient. The RR hitters were outmanoeuvred and their final score was hindered by the spin combination of Varun Chakravarthy and Mooen Ali of KKR. When runs weren’t coming freely in the first half of KKR’s innings, 152 appeared a little difficult.

Ajinkya Rahane and Moeen Ali had a difficult time staying in the middle. KKR needed 82 runs in 51 balls when the captain came back to the pavilion. At that moment in the game, it felt as though the game had opened. But Angkrish Raghuvanshi joined the South African batter, and the two of them helped their team win.
Against RR, Quinton De Kock receives Player of the Match.
De Kock attacked the RR bowlers because he was positioned in the middle and understood how it worked. He challenged Wanindu Hasaranga, RR’s top bowler, and undermined the bowling unit’s confidence. His half volleys, which were aimed at the boundary, were aided by it. It was the star batter’s responsibility to chase down the total.
Angkrish played second fiddle and gave him most of the strike. To win, KKR needed 17 runs in the final 18 balls. To get a boundary, the WK batter whacked the ball between the mid on-fielders and the square leg. To get as many runs as possible, he then smashed the ball into the stands.
Finishing off in style, the seasoned batter smacked the ball over the head of the mid-on. As they chased the total in just 17.3 overs, KKR ultimately had a smooth run chase. Quinton was instrumental in winning the Player of the Match honour.
