The Pakistan Cricket Board has sent Corbin Bosch a legal notice for violating a contract pertaining to his participation in the next Pakistan Super League season. In the PSL 2025, the South African all-rounder was first selected to play for Peshawar Zalmi.
The 30-year-old was selected by the Mumbai Indians in the March 8 draft to replace Lizaad Williams, who was sidelined by injury. Bosch removed his name from the PSL as a result.
On the same topic, the Pakistan Cricket Board issued a press release. In essence, it was a formal declaration meant to inform the administrative body of Bosch’s abrupt expulsion from the PSL, as noncompliance may have fatal repercussions.
“The footballer has been asked to defend his decision to back out of his contractual and professional obligations after receiving the legal notice via his agent. The PCB management has also laid out the consequences of his leaving the league and is anticipating a response from him in the allotted period. According to the release, which Cricbuzz cited, “The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter.”
Last month, Corbin Bosch played in South Africa’s Champions Trophy 2025 warm-up match against the Pakistan Shaheens.
The cricket player’s ultimate choice is still up in the air. He played for MI Cape Town during the previous SA20 season, which ended last month, by the way.
For those who are unaware, later this year, in the months of April and May, the 18th IPL season and the forthcoming PSL season will coincide. On April 11, the PSL will begin play, while the IPL is set to begin on March 22. However, on Sunday, May 25, both competitions will come to an end.
In his three Test and two ODI appearances for South Africa, Bosch has amassed 136 runs and claimed seven wickets.
