After winning the Champions Trophy, Hardik Pandya said, "I still need five or six more trophies."

Nearly every Indian player played an important role, but Hardik Pandya, the country’s best all-rounder, stood out for taking four wickets and scoring 99 runs at a strike rate of 106.45 while batting lower in the order. His key overs with the ball and short cameos demonstrated his value to the club, particularly in pivotal situations. Recalling how he fell short against Pakistan in 2017, the 31-year-old all-rounder has also opened up about his future goals and stated that he can now officially call himself a Champions Trophy winner.

As the Champions Trophy draws to a close, the Indian team, which won two consecutive ICC crowns and their seventh ICC trophy overall, have still another reason to celebrate. The Men in Blue put on an incredible display, winning another championship without dropping a match.

“The work was left in 2017.” I am quite happy that tonight is the night I can declare myself the champion’s trophy winner because I was unable to complete the task back then. It sounds nice. For me, the goal has always been to win as many titles as possible. When we won in 2024, I did say, “That is not done.” I have five or six more trophies to go. In a video released by BCCI, Hardik stated, “I am very happy that another one has been added.”

“How I can ensure my team wins is always the most important thing in my life and my cricketing journey, and every time I step on the pitch, even if I don’t contribute to my team’s victory, I think that’s the most beautiful feeling I have,” he continued.

The ICC T20 World Cup in India is my next objective: Hardik Pandya

During his discussion of his future aspirations, Hardik Pandya disclosed that the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka, is one of them. It’s logical to assume that Hardik, who was instrumental in the tournament and won the title in 2024, wants to defend it.

“I love games like this where everyone comes and puts their heart out, and I think I was for India I was for Bharat.” “Everyone came out there and you know showed their class at the same time the belief they have, which is exceptional.” The trophy for the winner is finished. “My next objective is to win the ICC T20 World Cup in India,” Hardik said.
