Team India's undefeated drive to ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory is praised by the BCCI.

Team India has received congratulations from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for their outstanding victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. India demonstrated their dominance in cricket, winning handily and solidifying their position as the top-ranked team in both ODIs and T20Is.

From the start, the team aimed for greatness, conquering difficult obstacles with a disciplined and daring style of cricket. Their winning streak in an ICC competition is a direct result of their perseverance, tactical skill, and will to win on a worldwide scale. This journey was perfectly summed up in the last match versus New Zealand, which demonstrated tenacity and mastery under duress.

The BCCI would like to express its sincere gratitude to Captain Rohit Sharma, whose outstanding tactical sense and leadership helped guide the team to this momentous accomplishment. His capacity to motivate and set an example was crucial to India’s successful campaign. Notably, after the stunning T20 World Cup 2024 victory, this is India’s second consecutive ICC title under his guidance in as many years. His reputation as one of India’s best and most accomplished captains is cemented by these two victories.

The BCCI also praises head coach Gautam Gambhir, whose tactical acumen and gutsy style were crucial in creating this successful squad. The players’ demeanour throughout the tournament demonstrated his emphasis on strategic execution and self-belief.

For this outstanding achievement, the BCCI once again extends its congratulations to the players, coaching staff, support staff, and selection committee.

“After the success of the T20 World Cup last year, this victory is a historic moment for Indian cricket,” said Roger Binny, President of the BCCI. It is an incredible accomplishment to win the Champions Trophy and dominate another international competition. I congratulate captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and the entire team on their historic victory because they have played with unmatched consistency and character.

“This victory is a testament to the talent and perseverance of Indian cricket,” said Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary, BCCI. It is quite admirable how well this squad has performed under duress and produced throughout pivotal times. Congratulations to all of the players, the selection committee, the support staff, and the team’s loyal supporters.

“Winning an ICC title is always a special achievement, and this team has done it in a dominant fashion,” said Rajeev Shukla, vice-president of the BCCI. Future generations of Indian cricket players will find encouragement in this victory, which has been a wonderful fusion of youthful enthusiasm and experience.

“India’s victory in the Champions Trophy 2025 is a reflection of their perseverance, meticulous preparation, and fearless execution,” said Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, Treasurer, BCCI.

The entire country is proud of the team’s remarkable talent and cohesion. This is a unique victory that will be cherished for years to come.

Honorary Joint Secretary of the BCCI Rohan Gauns Dessai: “The Champions Trophy 2025 victory is the consequence of unwavering perseverance and hard work.” This victory shows the depth and power of Indian cricket, and Team India has shown exceptional collaboration. The entire country is truly proud of this event.
