The historic Trophy Tour of the KKR continued its tour to commemorate their third IPL championship, stopping in Patna to interact with the city’s ardent supporters.
The trophy was displayed in Patna at the famed Golghar, where spectators flocked to see the coveted trophies. The trophy was also on display in all its splendour at Bhadra Ghat, a cultural icon on the banks of the Ganga.
Exuberant fans had the chance to celebrate KKR’s successful 2024 campaign and engage with the trophy during the tour’s final stop in Patna at City Centre Mall.
Fans throughout the region are still interested in KKR’s historic Trophy Tour as the excitement for the forthcoming season grows. As the tour comes to a close, the renowned prize will be presented in Durgapur on March 9 before the trophy returns to Kolkata.
On March 22, the Kolkata Knight Riders will play Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the storied Eden Gardens to begin their IPL 2025 campaign.
The previous season’s voyage for the Kolkata-based team was nothing short of spectacular. Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, the team advanced to the playoffs and the final, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final to win the coveted trophy. They had won their third title under Gautam Gambhir as head coach, nevertheless, thanks to all-around achievements.
For those who are unaware, neither Gambhir nor Iyer will be included in the team for the next edition because Iyer was selected by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the infamous auction, while the former captain is currently employed by the BCCI as the head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team. As a result, seasoned batter Ajinkya Rahane has been appointed as KKR’s new captain.
