The first ODI of the three-match series is currently taking place at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, where two brilliant moments sent England’s openers to the shed. After choosing to bat first, England got off to a strong start, with the tourists at 71/0 after eight overs.
Phil Salt was the first batter to be removed from the game. Wanting a third run, Salt sliced an outside off delivery past backward point. But a combination of a horrible mix-up and a brilliant fielding performance by Shreyas Iyer ended Salt. The wicketkeeper, KL Rahul, did the rest after Iyer did a fantastic job of cutting the ball off before it reached the boundary rope and throwing it flat at the top of the stumps.
Excellent Run-out 👍

The two debutants, Harshit Rana and Yashasvi Jaiswal, worked together to take the second English wicket. A left-handed top-order batter plucked Ben Duckett’s mishit pull after it flew high into the air. Jaiswal did a full-length dive to hold onto the half-opportunity as he ran back from midwicket.
India limits England in the intermediate stage when tourists arrive.
India possessed the phase from the tenth to the fortyth over. The spinners tightened the noose around England, and even with Jos Buttler’s half-century, England was unable to find any hitter who would stay around for a sufficient amount of time. In the meantime, Mohammed Shami claimed his first wicket of the day in his comeback match for the ODI layout. To make matters worse for England, a length delivery knocked over Brydon Carse’s stumps.
