IND vs ENG 2025: 3rd T20I, India vs England - Stats and Records in Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot

In the T20I series against England (ENG), India (IND) won a dramatic victory in Chennai to take a 2-0 series lead. The third Twenty20 International between the two nations will take place in Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium, where they also played one Test match last year.

Once more, the Men in Blue threw England in, and it appeared to be successful as Arshdeep Singh scored in the opening over. The home team continued to respond with a barrage of wickets, but Jos Buttler continued to attack in his usual fashion. But after his dismissal, India’s spinners continued to do all the damage, and England had already lost five wickets before the tenth over, leaving the visitors team in terrible shape. Although The Three Lions’ total was below par, Brydon Carse kept them afloat with several rapid runs, while debutant Jamie Smith displayed his natural flair in a brief appearance.

After losing wickets fast, the chase lost momentum after getting off to a great start. Carse was at the vanguard of England’s pacers, who exploited bounce and zip to cause breakdowns in the top and middle orders. But none of this seemed to have an impact on Tilak Varma, who demonstrated a new level of skill in anchoring the chase through. In the final over, he took India home after forming significant partnerships with the lower order.

Top player battles to watch out for in India vs England:

The ICC T20I rankings have both of these players in the top 5 in their respective disciplines, so this matchup is going to be captivating. Against Rashid, India’s T20I captain has amassed 51 runs from 28 balls at a strike rate of 182.14, while being removed twice at an average of 25.50.

Phil Salt vs Arshdeep Singh

In two games this series, Salt has been dismissed twice by India’s top wicket-taker in Twenty20 Internationals. The opening over of the game had seen the two dismissals. Salt has had a difficult time thus far, but he will be trying to get back at the left-armer.
