Australia wins its 3rd ICC Women's Championship under ecstatic Captain Healy

Australia Women won the ICC Women’s Championship 2022–25, taking first place in the 10-nation competition after winning 18 of the 24 games competed. In terms of the 50-over format, they have been playing fantastically, winning nine of their ten appearances. This was, incidentally, the third Women’s Championship.

Alyssa Healy, an Australia batswoman and wicketkeeper, captured the spirit of the Australian team following their Women’s Championship victory.

She said that they have already started preparing for the Women’s ODI World Cup, which will take place later this year. The Queensland native also hoped that her side would try to play as consistently as they have in the upcoming season.

“Over the past cycle, we’ve played some really consistent one-day cricket, so the girls are eager to finish that. The last cycle was quite thrilling. It was incredibly exciting to see the final few series to determine the trophy winner. “The girls are really excited about winning this trophy and hopefully it’s good vibes for the next cycle as well,” the ICC’s official website reported Healy as saying. “It was really important for us to put in a good couple of performances in those series and get us over the line.”

Furthermore, while the team was thrilled about the 50-over competition, Alyssa Healy emphasized that they were also cautious about other countries wishing to compete in the eagerly awaited tournament. Interestingly, the 13th Women’s World Cup will be held in India in August and September of 2025, respectively. The reigning champions are the Australian women.

To ensure that you actually qualify, part of the championship is remaining at the top of the ladder! Given the style of this cycle and how fiercely contested it was, the ODI World Cup is looking promising. It’s incredibly thrilling. That gives the group a lot of encouragement as well. “Yes, we are playing good cricket, but we’re excited to get over there and get started because we know there will be a lot of other teams fighting for that trophy because it’s a World Cup,” Healy said.
