'Virat is always on the switch'- Suresh Raina provides a peek into Kohli's mindset

Virat Kohli, the star batsman for India, is currently going through another difficult time. With a single century against Australia in Perth, the veteran has only amassed 190 runs in the Boroder-Gavaskar Trophy. He was known for turning strong starts into long innings, but lately he hasn’t done that. However, the supporters and a number of cricket experts have supported the seasoned player to perform well in the forthcoming season.

His former teammate Suresh Raina is one of these well-wishers.

Together, Kohli and Raina have played a great deal of cricket. After extensively observing the flashy cricket player, Raina offered insight into the player’s mindset. In addition to supporting Kohli’s return to form, the former southpaw disclosed that Kohli is a terrific teammate to have around and handles a lot of enthusiasm on the field.

He thinks in a very different way. As previously stated, I believe he would be a valuable teammate in a dressing room, but he is constantly on the switch. He prepares differently when he practices, and when the chips are down, he’ll be the first to say, “Let’s fight, let’s field,” according to Raina, who contacted Star Sports.

I had a great time fielding with him since he has a different passion and everyone’s attitude changes when he is in the mood to dive and field. In North India, Virat is a little different, yet he has the talent. From that point on, we can’t afford to lose. We’re not sure how to lose. Until we die, we won’t leave. His mindset is like that,” he continued.

When looking for his batting magic, Kohli looks to domestic cricket.

For their final Ranji Trophy 2024–25 league match against Railways, which starts on January 30, Virat Kohli has joined his home team, Delhi, in an attempt to recapture their lost batting form. To allow fans to watch the renowned batter in action, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has set up an additional 10,000 seats.
