For all ticket holders attending the second T20I between India and England in Chennai, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has offered free metro transportation to and from the famous MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk). Notably, on Saturday, January 25, both teams will play each other.
The goal of this project was to reduce traffic congestion around Marina Beach and Chepauk Stadium. Similar services were previously offered by the TNCA in partnership with Chennai Metro Rail during the 2023 Indian Premier League, and the fans responded favourably to them.
Tickets for the second Twenty20 International have already sold out, and the famous Chepauk stadium is expected to be crowded for what promises to be a huge weekend event. Notably, Chennai will host its first international encounter since hosting a Test match against Bangladesh in September 2024 and its first international white-ball match since the 2023 ODI World Cup.

England’s starting lineup for the match against Kolkata was revealed.
Meanwhile, the series opener is scheduled for January 22 in Kolkata before the two teams face off in Chennai. In the game’s shortest format, India will want to continue their impressive play. The team is eager to make a big comeback after a dismal Test season that includes losses to Australia and New Zealand at home and away, respectively.
England, on the other hand, brings a formidable team to India with the goal of turning the tide against the hosts. An impressive starting lineup for the first game of the series has already been announced by the visitors. The Indian squad has been working hard to get ready for the series while training in Kolkata. Drills involving a wet ball have been incorporated into practices to combat the dew factor, which frequently affects nighttime games in the city of joy.
