At the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Punjab Kings (PBKS) jumped on the great batter’s services for an incredible INR 26.75 crore after he was not retained.
Since it was the first time a winning captain from the previous edition would not play for a team in the next edition, KKR’s move shocked the cricket community. The cricket player chose to put his name up for auction at the November 2024 auction table, and the Mumbai batter recently revealed why he and KKR split up.
