With the first edition of the International Masters League (IML) scheduled to take place from February 22 to March 16, 2025, the stage is set. As cricketing powerhouses like India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies are represented by cricketing greats, rivalries will be reignited in Season 1 of the IML.
Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium, and Navi Mumbai’s D.Y. Patil Stadium will host the IML games.
Masters of the sport will cap the six participating teams: Jacques Kallis of South Africa, Shane Watson of Australia, Eoin Morgan of England, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, Brian Lara of the West Indies, and Sachin Tendulkar of India.
Indian, Australian, South African, West Indies, English, and Sri Lanka cricket players will be the first to compete in the International Masters League (IML), an annual T20 cricket competition.
The event promises to revive the charm of some of the best players in the game, bringing back memories and inspiring new clashes. The comeback of Indian great Sachin Tendulkar is expected to rekindle the enthusiasm of millions of fans who are anticipating the Master Blaster’s bat magic across the 22 yards once more.
Sunil Gavaskar, League Commissioner, IML, expressed his excitement about the league: “The International Masters League promises to showcase cricket in all its glory, as it brings together some of the finest players to ever grace the game.”
