'Won't be surprised to see them scoring runs again'- Tymal Mills expects Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma's form ahead CT 2025

For senior hitters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the just finished Test series against Australia marked the end of a poor batting stretch. Since the series against Bangladesh kicked off the Test season, both of them had been seeing a decline in performance over the last few months. In response to their lacklustre batting performances, the two players have been subjected to a flurry of enquiries on their future.

Tymal Mills, an English bowler, encouraged Virat and Rohit and believed they would figure out the answers on their own to return to their run-scoring ways.

“Virat and Rohit have a reputation for scoring a lot of runs during their careers, and that reputation isn’t earned by chance alone. It’s because they are among the greatest athletes to have ever participated in the sport. Mills told the Times of India, “They’ll have a lot of self-belief in their abilities and be able to ride the highs and the lows better than anybody else.”

You won’t be shocked to see them both score runs once more: Tymal Mills

Expressed confidence in their ability to bat and said they would soon be among the runs.

“They’ve been through difficult times before and come out the other side, and they’ll know what they need to do to come out the other side.” Mills continued, “You won’t be shocked to see them both scoring runs again, but hopefully not too much against England.”

Mills is now playing for the Gulf Giants in the ILT20 2025, while Rohit and Kohli are occupied with getting ready for the ODI series against England. India will compete in three ODIs and five T20Is before moving on to the Champions Trophy. After winning the previous T20 World Cup, the two Indian cricket superstars hung their boots from the 20-over format for those who aren’t familiar with it.
