Australia and India’s ongoing fifth Test match saw a comeback from the visitors on day two. Australia came out to bat, and after the Indian team was reduced to 185 runs in the first innings, the Australians performed well with the ball.
When little Sam Konstas was bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, it was one of the most talked-about moments.
In the latter part of day 1, Konstas irritated Bumrah by sledging him. Day 2 started with Bumrah’s deliveries hitting Konstas in the body as he tried to smash the pacer off the ground.
But when the first session of day two failed, Konstas resorted to a defensive posture. The normally outspoken Virat Kohli made fun of Konstas by remarking, “Yes Bumrah, there’s your man now,” on the pitch. Bumrah also chose to weigh in, stating that Konstas is performing like a batter ranked No. 10.

Australia’s first innings total of 181 was bundled out.
Speaking of the game, the Australians appeared to be in charge after driving out India for 185 runs in the opening innings. But the visitor’s bowling attack kept the Australians from scoring a significant amount. Following Khawaja’s removal on two runs, Konstas also left with a score of 23.
With Steve Smith scoring 33 runs, Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed for just two runs. Australia’s situation worsened after Travis Head left for four runs. Beau Webster scored 57 runs in the first innings, making him the top scorer for the home team.
Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj each took three wickets apiece, demonstrating their exceptional ball skills. With Bumrah scoring twice and Nitish Kumar Reddy getting two, India led by four runs going into the second innings and Australia was bowled out for 181.
