‘You can see everything on TV’- Herschelle Gibbs agrees with Daryl Cullinan’s remarks on Rohit Sharma’s health

"Those guys that are unfit and carrying a little bit extra, I mean, the whole world is there to see," Gibbs added.

'You can see everything on TV'- Herschelle Gibbs agrees with Daryl Cullinan's remarks on Rohit Sharma's health

India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, has been under fire for his performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 and seems to be out of form lately. In the three innings he has played, the 37-year-old has only managed to score 19 runs.

In addition to his lack of batting runs, Rohit Sharma is also receiving criticism for his leadership during the series, as previous players have expressed dissatisfaction with the way he has been organising his teams. Daryl Cullinan, a former South African batter, recently chastised him for failing to meet the fitness requirements for a five-match Test series.

Rohit Sharma was also chastised for the same thing by Cullinan’s countryman Herschelle Gibbs.

“I don’t have to name anyone. Everything is seen on TV. The entire world is watching those guys who are unfit and carrying a little bit too much. It’s up to the person, in my opinion. All I did was bat. Rohit is not a bowler. In my opinion, it is up to each person to decide how much they wish to offer, not only in their area of expertise. “Whether you’re a batter or a bowler, it’s still your responsibility to stay healthy and try to contribute on the pitch,” Gibbs

“The mindset should be how much you want to contribute and make a difference for your team, especially with a lot of T20 cricket and obviously with the Champions Trophy coming up,” Gibbs continued.

Rohit has been dealing with a lot of issues outside of this series. Rohit’s previous century came against England in Dharamsala in March, but he has only managed to score 152 runs in the last 13 Test innings, average just 11.69.
