Shafali Verma, who smashed 197 off 115 in the last quarterfinal of the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy in Rajkot, gave Haryana an outstanding showing. With a solid opening partnership of 173 runs with Reema Sisodia (58 off 72), the 20-year-old opener hit 22 fours and 11 sixes. With her knock, Haryana reached 389/5. After Sarkar was dismissed, the chase experienced some setbacks, but Bengal made it to the end because to Priyanka Bala’s unbeaten 88 off 81, which served as the innings’ fulcrum.
