One of the most talked-about topics in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy has been Virat Kohli’s form. Currently averaging just 25.06 in red-ball cricket this season, the famous batsman is going through a difficult time in his career. Varun Dhawan, a Bollywood actor, revealed an untold tale about Kohli from India’s 2018 tour of England during those talks.
“I’m talking about all that Virat has experienced, the periods when he hasn’t been feeling well, and some insights that Anushka gave me about his mentality. India had lost a Nottingham Test match, I believe [Birmingham, 2018], and she claimed not to have gone to the match that day. Varun stated on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, “The Ranveer Show,” that she returned, came to the room where Virat was lying down, and found him sobbing.
In the third test of the five-match series, India triumphed by 203 runs, and Kohli was named Player of the Match for his 97 and 103 runs. Dhawan ultimately remembered incorrectly, referring instead to the first Test of that series, in which India lost by 31 runs at Edgbaston in Birmingham, despite Kohli’s outstanding two-inning scores of 149 and 51.
“He [Kohli] took the whole thing on himself that I failed when he was still the highest scorer that day, he was the captain of the side that day,” Varun continued.

Virat Kohli MCG and SCG records
With the exception of his knock in the second innings in Perth, where he scored an undefeated 100, Kohli has not had the best performance in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar. In the pink-ball Test Adelaide, he scored seven and eleven runs, but in the one innings he batted in Brisbane, he only managed three runs.
The series’ final two Test matches will take place in Melbourne and Sydney, where the former India captain has a strong track record. In three games at the MCG, Kohli has amassed 316 runs at an average of 52.66, with a high score of 169. His record in Sydney is also excellent, with 248 runs at an average of 49.60.
He would like to resume scoring runs at these two locations since it will be a fantastic chance for him and the squad to regain their form.
