Australian players praise Jasprit Bumrah -'He is India's greatest fast bowler'

Cricket legends and opponents alike have praised Jasprit Bumrah, the sensational Indian bowler, for his distinctive bowling style and reliable performances. He is now considered a terrific fast bowler because of his recent heroics in the current Test series against Australia.

With 53 Australian Test wickets at an average of 17.15, the 31-year-old recently overtook the great Kapil Dev as India’s top wicket-taker on Australian territory. His impact is outstanding, particularly when he faces Australia’s best seven hitters, where he averages an impressive 9.81. After six innings, the speedster has already claimed 21 wickets in the current series.

With nine wickets in both innings, Jasprit Bumrah put on an outstanding display in the third Test match played in Brisbane.

He overtook Ravichandran Ashwin with 66 wickets, putting him at the top of the current World Test Championship (WTC) cycle records. Ricky Ponting, the former captain of Australia, has praised Bumrah’s ability to destroy batting schemes.

“He is, in my opinion, the best fast bowler in India. He is unquestionably the finest in T20, one-day, and Test match cricket at the moment,” Ponting stated, as cited by TOI.

He’s similar to a catapault that loads and releases: Josh Hazlewood

In a similar vein, Australian batsman Travis Head referred to Bumrah as one of the best fast bowlers in history. It was an honour to face such a bowler, Head, who found it difficult to withstand Bumrah’s deliveries. “Jasprit is probably going to go down as one of the greatest fast bowlers to play the game,” Head remarked.

Josh Hazlewood, a speedster from Australia, pointed out that Bumrah may release the ball late, which makes him appear faster than his speed gun counts.

“You may feel somewhat uneasy if you have never faced him before. He’s about half a yard faster than the speed gun indicates because he lets the ball go far ahead. Like a catapault, he loads up and releases’, Hazlewood remarked.
