Neelam Bhardwaj, 18, becomes youngest Indian woman to score double century in a List A game

The youngest Indian woman to score a double century was Neelam Bhardwaj, a batter who was eighteen years old. She notably defeated the Nagaland bowlers throughout her spectacular innings, setting a new record for her outstanding List A performance.

Neelam Bhardwaj struck 27 fours and two sixes in her marathon knock for Uttarakhand (UK).

She ended up scoring an undefeated 202* runs off just 137 balls in the process. The result was a massive 371/2 for the UK in their 50-over quota. She was added to a list of top batters who have accomplished the feat in India’s domestic cricket circuit because to her spectacular batting display. For those who don’t know, she knocked during the Ahmedabad Senior Women’s One Day Trophy match.

Indian women’s cricket has been growing, and several brilliant and remarkable players have so far put on some outstanding performances. Before Shweta Sehrawat beat Mandhana’s record, people like Smriti Mandhana made news for doing the same feat. Mandhana produced an undefeated 224* for the Maharashtra Under 19 squad against Gujarat Under 19 in 2013–14, while Sehrawat became the first Indian women’s double centuries with 242 off 150 balls in a List A match.

In addition, Mithali Raj, the captain and previous batting great of the India Women’s team, who amassed 214 runs against England, is on the list. Notably, she continues to have the greatest individual score in Test history for an Indian woman. This accomplishment was made by Raj in 2002.

The team lead by Ekta Bisht dominated Nagaland.

Considering the List Thanks to a knock by Bhardwaj, the Uttarakhand women defeated the Nagaland women by a resounding 259 runs. Ekta Bisht, a former India star and World Cup finalist, was notable for leading the team. In addition, Bisht took a remarkable five wickets to lead from the front. Furthermore, the Captain also maintained an amazing economy of just 1.40 while bowling.
