In Adelaide’s first innings against India, Travis Head was outstanding at the bat. Australia international took advantage of the 30-year-old’s ability to express himself by hitting the leather all over the pitch. In the first innings, Australia scored 337 runs thanks to his 140 runs off 141 deliveries, which included 17 boundaries and four sixes. When facing Head, Indian bowlers found it difficult to hit the line, which caused problems for the visitors.
Mohammed Siraj, a pacer, bowled an excellent yorker in the 82nd over to ultimately take Travis Head out.
One of the main highlights of Day 2, however, was the furious dispute that broke out between Head and Siraj following the dismissal. Following a furious farewell from the Indian international, Head was spotted responding to him with derogatory remarks.
But subsequently, the Adelaide native alleged that he told Siraj, “well bowled,” and the player continued to verbally abuse him. But following Siraj’s gesture, Head later admitted that he had been mistreated and expressed some disappointment with the way things turned out in the middle.
I remarked, ‘well bowled,’ but he didn’t agree. I bit him back a little when he directed me to the shed. I’m a little dissatisfied in the way things turned out. That’s what it is. Head stated during the news conference, “If they want to behave that way and that’s how they’re going to portray themselves, then so be it.”
It’s interesting that Siraj denied Head’s assertion early on Sunday. Harbhajan Singh, who was born in Hyderabad, alleged that Head said “well bowled” during the press conference, which was a pure fiction. Speaking about the value of respect, the 30-year-old also mentioned that he was having a celebration when Head began to abuse him in the middle.
“Bowling to him was fun for me. His batting was excellent, so it was a terrific battle. It hurts when a batter hits a nice ball and hits you for a six. It energised me. I bowled him out and rejoiced. He then mistreated me. You can also view it on television. At first, I didn’t say anything to him because it was my party. He mentioned something incorrectly during the press conference. He told lies. Then he responded, “Well-bowled.” Everybody is respected by us. I always show respect to everyone since cricket is a game played by gentlemen. What Travis Head did was wrong. Siraj admitted to Star Sports that he didn’t feel well.
