Watch: Mohammed Siraj's fiery sendoff to dangerous-looking Travis Head

On Day 2 of the second Test at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, Travis Head was in blistering form against India. The collaboration between Head and Marnus Labuschagne saved the day for the hosts when Steven Smith left. They put together a 65-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Labuschagne continued to hit boundaries after he was removed with 64 runs.

Despite being dropped off Ravichandran Ashwin by Mohammed Siraj, he used the lifeline to get his century. At 140 runs in as many balls, he appeared to be a deadly batsman, but Siraj was the one who got him out in the end. Head was fooled by the pace as the right-arm bowler came over the wicket and produced a dipping full-toss delivery.

An irate Siraj waved the Australian hitter to stutter back to the dressing room as the stumps shook. Naturally, Head did not take well to the gesture, and the two players got into a furious argument. It is noteworthy that he hit 17 boundaries and four maximums in his nearly run-a-ball knock, resulting in a strike rate of 99.29.

Here’s the video of Siraj’s send-off to Head:

However, Head did a good job for his team because Australia had a 130-run lead with 310/7 on the board at the end of his wicket. In his brief appearance down the order, Pat Cummins scored 12 runs. Australia had a 152-run advantage at 332/9 prior to the supper break. Siraj took three wickets for India, while Jasprit Bumrah took four, and Ravichandran Ashwin took one.
