For the first-ever champions, the Rajasthan Royals,(RR) the IPL 2025 super auction proved to be very successful. The team had six players left when the tournament started, therefore they were unable to use any RTM cards.
Towards the end of the first day, the Royals were able to secure some celebrities, and they entered the auction with INR 41 crore left in their budget. Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, and many others were recruited by the Royals.
Prior to the IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, kept the majority of their core. They will be hoping that 2025 will be the year they win their second IPL championship with the addition of Nitish Rana, Theekshana, and numerous other talents to the team.
The team made it to the IPL 2022 summit match, missed the 2023 knockout stages, and came awfully close in 2024. Under Rahul Dravid, the new head coach, the Royals will be hoping for big things.
