'Got what we wanted'- Rohit Sharma content with India's pink-ball Test prep

The team’s performance ahead of the second Test AS was praised by captain Rohit Sharma. For the Indian team, the warm-up game showed a number of encouraging signals. The Pink-Ball Test will be an intriguing chance for the squad to demonstrate its depth and excellent preparedness.

At Canberra’s Manuka Oval, the Indian team won the warm-up match by handily defeating the Prime Minister’s XI in a two-day match marred by rain. The game served as a warm-up for the Pink-Ball Test, which will begin in Adelaide on December 6.

“It’s really good to see people joining us and helping us,” Rohit Sharma remarked.

“It was wonderful. As a team, we achieved our goals. We were a little unlucky not to get the entire game. We made the most of the time we had and succeeded in getting what we could from what we had. Totally amazing (to watch the crowd). We enjoy visiting Australia, and we love it when they show up to support us. They have always arrived here and never failed to show up.

It was a positive encounter: Sam Konstas

India bowled first after winning the toss to start the day. Early goals from Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj sent the home team down to 22/2. But Sam Konstas was a shining example, scoring an incredible century to keep his team’s hopes alive.

The pivotal moment occurred during the outstanding bowling stint of Harshit Rana. By taking four wickets in just six balls and upending the middle order, the youthful bowler single-handedly shifted the tide in India’s favor. Hanno Jacobs put up a strong 61 and Konstas put up 107, but the Prime Minister’s XI was ultimately bowled out for 240.

KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal formed a strong opening combination in the chase, accumulating 75 runs between them until Jaiswal was dismissed by Charlie Anderson after scoring 45. Despite choosing to bat lower in the order, captain Rohit Sharma only managed three runs.

Gill looked especially good after recovering from an injury; he scored fifty before retiring. Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy both scored 42 and helped India win by a commanding six wickets, demonstrating their noteworthy efforts.

Konstas, meanwhile, acknowledged the crowd’s support and the chance to play against the powerful Indians after winning Player of the Match. “I had a wonderful experience. “I appreciate the supporters coming,” he said.

The captain of the Prime Minister’s XI, Jack Edwards, talked about Scott Boland’s tenure and the privilege of facing a side like India, which has some of the biggest names in cricket.

“He performed really well. Scotty did well; he bowled a few overs. Very good honor. The team has had a pleasant few days, and some major players have represented them,” Edwards remarked.
