PAK vs ENG 2024: Mir Hamza released from team for rehabilitation in Karachi

The most recent news is that Mir Hamza of Pakistan has been cut from the team to focus on his recuperation from a right glute injury. According to, the news was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board on the opening day of the third and final Test of the Pakistan-England series in Rawalpindi.

A few days before the third Test, Hamza was observed working out vigorously with resistance bands with the team’s physiotherapist. Prior to the match, Hamza did not bowl or train in any of his team’s sessions. at the first two Test matches at Multan, the 32-year-old was notable for being on the 16-man team, but he did not make the starting lineup either time.

The last time Mir Hamza played for Pakistan was during the second Test match against Bangladesh, which took place at the same location as the current match.

At a strike rate of 83.5 and an average of 42.08, he has taken 12 wickets in as many innings, including a solo four-wicket haul. He would be hoping for a quick recovery and a return to competition soon.

Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi were the front-line pacers in the first Test. It was decided to field Aamer Jamal as the bowling all-rounder. However, the first two names were eliminated after losing that game, and in addition to leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood, specialist spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali entered the match. The decision to include Jamal in the starting lineup for the series was made because he is the superior batter, as demonstrated by his early Test career.

Root and Pope leave for low-cost scoring prior to lunch on the first day.

The events of the pivotal Test match began when England won the toss and chose to bat first. They had also started quickly, with openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley looking strong t the crease.
