WTC 2023-25 Points Table: Here's a look at latest standings after England's record win against Pakistan in Multan

At the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan, the first Test of the three-game Test series saw Team England pull off a historic victory over Pakistan. For four of the five days of the Test match, it was a run-fest; nevertheless, on the fifth day, the inevitable happened.

The tourists faced a formidable task when they batted, but some excellent hits made it easy for them to win. The English were off to a great start with to Zak Crawley‘s 78 at the top. However, Joe Root and Harry Brook’s epic 454-run partnership allowed the team establish a record 823/7 and take a 267-run lead. Notably, Brook achieved a well-earned triple century and Root scored an incredible 262.

With the intention of securing a victory, England dismissed Pakistan for a meagre 220 runs, ultimately winning the match by an innings and gaining a 1-0 lead in the series.
