When the two greatest players of all time made the decision to retire from the sport, the argument over who would succeed them erupted. Many have voiced their preferences, and former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has recommended Riyan Parag to take over Kohli’s middle-order duties and Yashasvi Jaiswal as Rohit’s replacement.
It is noteworthy that Virat and Rohit are still playing Tests and ODIs, with the former captaining the squad in both competitions. It is also important to note that Rohit and Jaiswal have established themselves as India’s go-to opening combination in Test matches, and they have performed admirably.
