Rain wiped away the first two days of the second Test against Bangladesh, thus KL Rahul revealed captain Rohit Sharma’s strategy to win the Kanpur Test against Bangladesh ahead of the fifth day of play. Rainfall on two of the three days of the India vs. Bangladesh Test caused significant disruptions to the drainage system on Day 3. The match was cancelled owing to a soggy outfield on day three even though there was no rain.
Notwithstanding the loss of two days, the Indian squad is intent on winning the series. Day 4 saw India collect 285 runs in 34.4 overs, thanks to outstanding knocks of 23 in 11 balls and 72 in 51 balls from the opening pair, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, the bowlers also gave a terrific display and made things difficult for the visitors, dismissing them for a mere 233 runs.
Rahul, who opened the series with 68 runs off 43 balls, provided some insight into what Rohit Sharma had in mind to win the series. According to him, everyone was told by Sharma to go for the win instead of settling for a series tie.
“From the beginning, the message was really clear. The rain cost us a few of days. The weather caused us to miss much of the game, but we still wanted to see what we could accomplish in the remaining time. The strategy was straightforward: figure out how to play to win. We had good vibes,” Rahul remarked.
“Rohit sent a very clear message. We attempted to achieve it even if we lost a few wickets because Rohit’s message was so clear that it didn’t matter if we were out,” he continued.

On the fourth day of the Kanpur Test, India launched an unprecedented onslaught against Bangladesh, earning Rohit Sharma a great deal of acclaim for his leadership abilities. Former cricketer Saba Karim said he was impressed by Rohit’s decision-making clarity and decisiveness.
He said that Rohit always gives his decisions careful thought, that they are results-oriented, and that he makes efficient use of his resources to get the most out of them.
KL also mentioned that the captain allowed the hitters to be loose on the pitch without worrying about losing wickets. “Rohit sent a very clear message. We attempted to achieve it even if we lost a few wickets because Rohit’s message was so clear that it didn’t matter if we were out,” he continued.
