'Can beat any team'- Kate Cross confident in England's chances in T20 World Cup 2024

England’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign kicks off on October 5 in Sharjah against Bangladesh. The top two teams from the league stage advance to the semi-finals, where they will face South Africa, Scotland, and the West Indies in the group stage.

Prior to it, seasoned bowler Kate Cross asserted that England can defeat any team on their day and she supported the team captained by Heather Knight to win the match.

The 32-year-old brought up England’s performance in the women’s Ashes last year and mentioned that the players had just gathered in the United Arab Emirates and were working hard to adjust to the weather. She mentioned that they still have a few days to get ready more effectively and that the players will be quite confident going into the competition.

“On their best day, England can defeat any opposition.” The Ashes that we had last summer, in my opinion, was a pretty accurate representation of who we are at our finest. The girls have been in the United Arab Emirates for almost ten days, so they have had excellent preparation. “They’ll definitely enter the first game with a lot of confidence, even though there are still a few games and days left,” Kate Cross stated on Sky Sports News.

Amy Jones, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Heather Knight are praised by Tammy Beaumont.

Tammy Beaumont praised veteran cricketers Heather Knight, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Amy Jones, saying the team will benefit from their knowledge and abilities to mentor the younger players. She also mentioned how important spinner Sophie Ecclestone’s experience will be.

“When you consider individuals like Heather Knight, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Amy Jones, I believe they are incredibly reliable and play the style the club want, which gives the younger players the confidence to go out there and compete.
