There will be large price hikes for high-profile matches at London’s famous Lord’s Cricket Ground during the summer of 2025. Known as the “Home of Cricket,” Lord’s will play host to a number of major events in 2025, including a Test match against India and the third World Test Championship (WTC) final. But the venue’s pricing policy has recently come under fire, especially in light of the low attendance during the later rounds of the matches against Sri Lanka and the West Indies.
The price increases for the Test match versus India are the most noticeable. Tickets will cost 90 euros for restricted view tickets and 175 euros for the best seats over the first three days of the event. Tickets for accessibility are priced at 120 euros. Given the pattern of early ends in recent Test matches, the fees for the fourth day have been lowered, with the lowest price being 50 euros and the highest price being 150 euros.

Lord’s manager, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), has admitted that its pricing policy needs to be reviewed, particularly for the last days of Test matches.
Given the current format of Test cricket, we will be closely examining the fourth-day ticket structure in our pricing revisions. Guy Lavender, chief secretary and executive of the MCC, had stated in a statement, “We priced U16 tickets at just £15 for weekend days of our Test matches from the outset and introduced a group discount for day four.”
To cater to younger fans, the MCC has introduced group discounts for the fourth day of the Test matches and is selling U16 tickets for 15 Euros for weekend days. Lavender did, however, discuss the difficulties of changing prices.

“It is difficult to dynamically discount tickets in hindsight when thousands of supporters have applied through our 2023 ballot process and paid the full price,” Lavender stated.
