In the second Twenty20 International match against Australia, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone hit 87 runs off 47 deliveries and claimed two wickets to assist the side win by three wickets. After doing the task for the team at number four in the batting order, he hopes to bat higher up in the order from the team management. Additionally, it was stated that Livingstone will not be involved in the plans after the 2024 T20 World Cup.
In addition to Liam Livingstone being one of the probable’s, Moeen Ali and Jonny Bairstow were removed from the team. He was eventually called up though, and he performed admirably in the T20I series. In relation to that, the 31-year-old declared that he is having fun playing cricket and is prepared to contribute both at bat and with the ball.
“I’m back enjoying my cricket because I’ve liked getting a bit more involved and having opportunities with the bat and the ball while some of the boys are away. I’ve been having a great time playing cricket in this new setting. My goal is to participate in the game to the fullest extent possible. It’s not something I’ve always been able to do, lowering the order. According to a report from Sky Sports, “I’ve tried to do it to the best of my ability,” Livingstone stated.
“I’ll bat anywhere I’m instructed to. I hope to have demonstrated that playing higher up the order is better for me, but I want to play for England for as long as I can,” he continued.
Liam Livingstone called up for ODI series
For the five-match ODI series against Australia, Livingstone has also been called up. He will be a key player as several senior cricket players are absent. In addition, he is eager to solidify his place in the ODI team as England prepares to announce their Champions Trophy roster.
