In Derbyshire’s Division Two match against Northamptonshire, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal bowled an incredible jaffa to remove Wayne Madsen, who was looking good at 47 in the first innings.
Chahal was ready for more after taking out Aneurin Donald in the 52nd over of Derbyshire’s innings to claim his first wicket of the match. His following over ended with him giving up two singles. Madsen, who is forty years old, was dismissed by Chahal with the very next ball of the 14th over.
The ball pegged the off stump back after pitching on the leg stump line and turning just enough to avoid Madsen’s willow’s outer edge. In celebration of being dismissed, Chahal, wicketkeeper Lewis McManus, and fellow countryman Prithvi Shaw, who was at first slip, all skidded off.

Northamptonshire wins thanks to Yuzvendra Chahal outstanding nine-wicket performance.
Chahal took his first wicket in that exact over, capping off a triumphant match with a second wicket on the penultimate delivery.
With outstanding numbers of 16.3-2-45-5, the cunning leggie concluded the innings. It was Chahal who once more saved his team when Derbyshire needed 266 to win the match. With a four-wicket haul, the leggie gave Northamptonshire a convincing victory by 133 runs, bowling 1.3 overs more and imposing yet another controlling spell on the opposition.

With just 26 runs scored when he was removed, Madsen was left alone at the other end as the final eight wickets fell. As for Prithvi Shaw, he scored two and four runs in each of the game’s two innings.
