The International Cricket Council has given the BCCI a significant increase in its revenue allotment of 72%. The BCCI’s share of revenue has increased under the new model from 22.4% to 38.5%, which is an astounding increase of over 72%. This increase is evidence of the state associations’ and BCCI members’ support and cooperation in their joint efforts.
ICC and Indian broadcaster Disney Star entered into a ground-breaking media rights arrangement, which is responsible for the increase in revenue distribution.
