Kuldeep Yadav makes a significant insinuation about the Rajkot pitch

When asked recently about the lack of standout performers in this series, India’s left-arm leg spin bowler Kuldeep Yadav acknowledged the value of playing good cricket but also voiced concern.

A fascinating story of bat vs. ball on slow turners is being told in the ongoing Test series between India and England, deviating from the traditional screenplay of turning tracks. The first two Tests have provided cricket fans with an alluring blend of scores, wickets, and thrilling action, providing a welcome change from the expected spin-dominated matchups.

India’s approach has been to provide opponents with confusion-causing rank-turners ever since the 2012–13 home season. Batters were forced to dance to the music of spin masters such as Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin, and India transformed into a fortress at home. But there is a depa”We do not intend to score 700-800 runs here,” Kuldeep Yadav makes a significant insinuation about the Rajkot pitch prior to the third Test.rture from this established story in the current series.

“I’m not sure. I’ve never engaged in rank-turner gaming. I did not participate in the previous home series, which was the Border Gavaskar series in February and March of last year. I’m not sure how we would approach or think about this. Essentially, the decision belongs to team management. You all obviously want to see excellent cricket, too. According to Time of India, Kuldeep Yadav avoided taking a strong stance on the subject by saying, “It’s important (that the wickets are good) for good cricket.”

In response to a question regarding the employment of rank-turners in home Test matches, Kuldeep Yadav emphasized his love of playing on every surface while remaining evasive.

He recognized the function of fast bowlers and emphasized the need for batting in addition to spin bowling.

“I’m not sure, but I like to play anytime I get the chance, whether it’s on a rank turner or a flat track. I think it’s crucial for us to remember that batting is just as vital to us as spin bowling. However, when all is considered, everything matters. See, all things considered are significant. As you witnessed in the previous game, the quick bowlers are also a factor. Thus, good wickets are beneficial to cricket. It is untrue that you won’t encounter rank-turners in the future. “Hopefully, you will witness (turning tracks) in the future,” he continued.

The first two tests, which were held on slow turners similar to the third test’s anticipated pitch, did not follow the traditional pattern of short matches on hazardous fields. Both matches lasted four days each, providing a fair match between the bat and the ball. The thrilling double century by Yashasvi Jaiswal in Visakhapatnam and England’s comeback in Hyderabad elevated the series to a closely contested contest.

An unexpected turn as the Pacers excel in the narrative:

Surprisingly, pace bowlers have become important contributors on the generally spin-friendly grounds. With 15 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah leads the wicket-taking rankings, defying expectations and illustrating how the series is changing. Ravichandran Ashwin was supposed to lead. This change calls into question the conventional wisdom that India’s home advantage depends only on rank-turners.

Kuldeep Yadav described the Rajkot pitch as “good,” making it clear that it will be a balanced surface rather than a wicket that turns over quickly. It’s batting-friendly, but it won’t see really high scores, he stressed. Kuldeep Yadav added to the suspense about the next Test match by expressing hope that the pitch would help spinners.

“It will be a good wicket, but it won’t be a rank turner. Although it won’t be a better wicket than playing on a rank turner, we do not mean that 700–800 runs will be scored here when we say it will be a batting (friendly) wicket. “I hope it benefits the players who spin,” he continued.

The third test is much more anticipated in light of Ravindra Jadeja’s possible return from his hamstring ailment. Though conscious of the opposition, Kuldeep Yadav maintains his optimism over his prospects while concentrating on having fun and adhering to his method.
